The Rhodes Scholarship allows students from around the world to study at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom to complete their master's or doctoral degree.

Ethan Lambert, of Corinth, who graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry in May, has been selected as one of four 2023 Portz Scholars in the National Collegiate Honors Council's annual competition for outstanding undergraduate honors papers. Lambert won $375 and a free trip to present his honors thesis at the 58th annual NCHC conference in Chicago this November.

Patrick Poe, graduate of the Patterson School of Accountancy at the University of Mississippi, has been named a winner of the Elijah Watt Sells Award for earning exceptional scores on the CPA exam. The Sells Award is the world's most prestigious award given for CPA exam performance.
