Ethan Lambert, of Corinth, who graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry in May, has been selected as one of four 2023 Portz Scholars in the National Collegiate Honors Council's annual competition for outstanding undergraduate honors papers. Lambert won $375 and a free trip to present his honors thesis at the 58th annual NCHC conference in Chicago this November.

University of Mississippi alumna Margaret Walker of Suwanee, Georgia, received a fellowship worth $8,500 from the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
