University of Mississippi students were welcomed into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society, one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious honor societies for all academic disciplines. The university held an induction ceremony on Nov. 2 at the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts on campus. Phi Kappa Phi membership is based on a student's character and academic standing. Juniors must have completed 72 credit hours and rank in the top 7.5% of their class, while seniors and graduate students must rank in the top 10% of their class.

Eleven new students have been selected to receive financial support and additional benefits through the Ole Miss First scholarship program at the University of Mississippi. Students are selected based on their high school record of academic excellence, leadership and commitment to service.

Nine freshmen have enrolled at the University of Mississippi as Ole Miss Women's Council for Philanthropy scholars, each receiving a $40,000 scholarship plus extensive support opportunities.

This summer, the University of Mississippi welcomed Rose Manion to its Chinese Language Flagship Program. Manion, of Seattle, Washington, is one of 10 students admitted to the program.

Seventeen freshmen at the University of Mississippi have been recognized as Stamps scholars, a prestigious designation that offers them a scholarship covering full cost of attendance and leadership development opportunities. The Stamps Scholars Program awards scholarships based on academic excellence, leadership experience and exceptional character.

The U.S. Department of Energy selected University of Mississippi graduate student Abigail Hogue for its University Nuclear Leadership Program graduate research fellowship, where she will use artificial intelligence to help improve nuclear fuel development.

The Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights advocacy organization has chosen University of Mississippi senior Tyren Boyd Jr., of Indianola, as a fellow in its leadership program that honors the late civil rights icon U.S. Rep. John Lewis. The John Lewis Young Leaders program is a yearlong undergraduate fellowship that prepares college students for a future in community organizing and civic engagement. The program was established in 2017 and restructured in 2022 to honor Lewis.
