University of Mississippi Honors 2022-23 Who's Who Students

Two hundred and one Ole Miss students were recognized as Who's Who Among Students at the University of Mississippi during a ceremony on April 14 at the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts. Who's Who Among Students is a respected honor program recognizing seniors who excel academically and demonstrate leadership and community service on and off campus.

Ole Miss Junior Madeleine Dotson Named Truman Scholar

An ordinary day turned extraordinary for Madeleine Dotson, as she was congratulated by University of Mississippi Chancellor Glenn Boyce for becoming the institution's 18th Truman Scholar. Winners were formally announced April 12 by the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation. Boyce surprised Dotson, a junior Arabic, economics and political science major, with the news in his office on April 10, surrounded by several university leaders. The Truman Foundation, the nation's official living memorial to the 33rd U.S. president, awards merit-based scholarships to college students who plan to pursue careers in government or elsewhere in public service.

Top rising sophomores receive the Rose Bui scholarship, which is worth $8,000 per year for four years. Recipients must maintain a 3.4 GPA and remain in the international studies major during their time at the university.
