Preston Antes, an economics and public policy leadership major from Frontenac, Missouri, was inducted into the university's 2022-23 Hall of Fame, one of the highest honors given to Ole Miss students. Two hundred and one Ole Miss students were recognized as Who's Who Among Students at the University of Mississippi during a ceremony on April 14 at the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts. Who's Who Among Students is a respected honor program recognizing seniors who excel academically and demonstrate leadership and community service on and off campus.

The University of Mississippi selected more than 70 students to receive a 2023 Marcus Elvis Taylor Memorial Medal, the university's highest academic award.

Fifty-six rising seniors were selected to join the Tassels Chapter of the Mortar Board honor society at the University of Mississippi.

An ordinary day turned extraordinary for Madeleine Dotson, as she was congratulated by University of Mississippi Chancellor Glenn Boyce for becoming the institution's 18th Truman Scholar. Winners were formally announced April 12 by the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation. Boyce surprised Dotson, a junior Arabic, economics and political science major, with the news in his office on April 10, surrounded by several university leaders. The Truman Foundation, the nation's official living memorial to the 33rd U.S. president, awards merit-based scholarships to college students who plan to pursue careers in government or elsewhere in public service.

Nine freshmen in the Croft Institute for International Studies received awards from one of the largest and most prestigious scholarship programs at the University of Mississippi. The Croft Scholars, the institute's most competitive freshmen, are awarded $8,000 per year for four years. Recipients must maintain a 3.4 GPA and remain in the international studies major during their time at the university.

The University of Mississippi welcomed more than 200 students into the UM chapter of Phi Kappa Phi in fall 2022. Phi Kappa Phi is one of the nation's oldest, largest and most selective honor societies for all academic disciplines.

A new cohort of 13 Stamps Scholars has enrolled at the University of Mississippi. The Stamps Scholars Program awards scholarships based on academic excellence, leadership experience and exceptional character. The new class brings the number of Stamps Scholars at Ole Miss to 58, making the university the second-largest in the program.

Several University of Mississippi students were featured in the debut of the university's new television commercial Sept. 17 during the football game between Ole Miss and Georgia Tech on ABC. The 30-second commercial, titled "Where are You Going," features Ole Miss students describing their personal aspirations paired with popular spots on campus and in Oxford, showing viewers where leaders are made and legacies are born.

Nikki Marzette's classmates at the University of Mississippi could have focused on any subject for their video storytelling project. They could have chosen a music video, a cooking tutorial or a news package. Instead, her classmates chose to feature her story.

When Tayler Glover was in high school in Van Buren, Arkansas, she discovered computer science. When she took part in an information technology program at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith campus during her junior year of high school, one of the first things she noticed was that she was the only woman in her class, so she was pleasantly surprised when she got to the University of Mississippi to study computer science and found a good number of female students and teachers in her classes.

Erin Bowens chose to pursue her dream of helping people with communication disorders learn to communicate effectively and with confidence by majoring in communication sciences and disorders at the University of Mississippi.
