The foundation's national fellowship program partners with 38 law schools across the country to provide grants and enable law students to work in unpaid public interest summer law positions.

University of Mississippi alumna Margaret Walker of Suwanee, Georgia, received a fellowship worth $8,500 from the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Walker is one of 62 recipients nationwide to receive the fellowship. Walker received a dual bachelor's degree in public policy leadership and integrated marketing communications from UM in May. As a Phi Kappa Phi fellow, Walker will pursue a Juris Doctor at the University of Virginia School of Law.

Smith, M.D. Scholars Program as part of the Jackson Heart Study Graduate Training and Education Center at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, or UMMC-GTEC, in Jackson. Manning, as well as UM students Joanne Canedo and Christine Hamadani, will participate in the two-year program, which provides intensive research training and mentoring experience through various learning and networking opportunities.

The Mary Louise Roller Award honors one collegiate member who has provided outstanding service and leadership to her local Panhellenic, campus and community.
