Hendrix will pursue the project "University of Mississippi Periods in Prison Project" with her faculty mentor Ashley Jones, an instructional assistant professor of public health.

Fourteen freshmen at the University of Mississippi have been recognized as Stamps scholars, a prestigious designation that offers them a scholarship covering full cost of attendance and leadership development opportunities. The Stamps Scholars Program awards scholarships based on academic excellence, leadership experience and exceptional character.

More than 900 students graduated from the University of Mississippi in August 2024. Undergraduate and graduate candidates received degrees from the College of Liberal Arts, General Studies and schools of Law, Pharmacy, Journalism and New Media, Engineering, Education, Business Administration, Applied Sciences and Patterson School of Accountancy.

Ayanna Norman, a Corinth native majoring in allied health studies and psychology at the University of Mississippi, has been awarded a Voyager Scholarship, also known as the Obama-Chesky Scholarship for Public Service. Norman is the university's first recipient of the award.

Lydia Snopek, of Madison, an accountancy student at the University of Mississippi, received a $15,000 scholarship from the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.
